Repstor Unveils New Campaign to help Law Firms Exploit Microsoft 365 for Matter Management at ILTACON 2017

Repstor will present alongside other key Northern Irish legal technology innovators on the Invest Northern Ireland pavilion at ILTACON 2017

August 3rd, 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Microsoft 365 investments, has selected the 2017 ILTACON event in Las Vegas to launch its newest campaign for law firms centering on ‘7 Indisputable reasons to use Microsoft 365 as a matter management platform’.

This most recent campaign adds further momentum to ES /Unity™, a new matter management solution created by Eversheds Sutherland Consulting in collaboration with Repstor and launched in March this year. The new digital offering, built exclusively for the Microsoft 365/SharePoint platform and offering native integration into Microsoft Outlook, empowers legal teams with sophisticated legal matter management.

Repstor will launch its Microsoft 365 for Matter Management campaign at ILTACON which runs August 13 through 17 using law firms like Eversheds and gunnercooke as successful proof points and case studies.

ILTACON is the premier educational and networking event for the legal sector. Drawing on the personal and collective strengths of professionals working in technology within law firms and legal departments, ILTACON empowers its visitors and exhibitors to share what works, what doesn’t and what’s next.

Repstor will join other Northern Irish legal technology innovators at ILTACON to showcase their solutions on booth numbers 522 and 524.

CTO of Repstor Fergus Wilson added:

“Microsoft 365 is so integral to everyday business activity, including routine content management and collaboration, that it is the obvious platform for legal matter management.

“Microsoft 365 is an existing resource most firms have already invested in, and many of its capabilities are inherently superior to those of dedicated matter management systems. This is largely due to the huge investment Microsoft has made in Microsoft 365, added to the vast ecosystem of Microsoft software partners which are enhancing Microsoft 365 all the time with new, specialist features and integration options.”

Fergus continues, “Our latest campaign will help firms to make the case for selecting Microsoft 365 for complete matter lifecycle management – a move that law firms ranging from large international practices like Eversheds Sutherland to challenger firms like gunnercooke have already made.”

Repstor Marks Business Growth and Expansion by taking up Residence at the Iconic Scottish Provident Building

Repstor moves offices to Belfast’s most prestigious location on Donegall Square and announces a doubling of revenues year on year

July 3rd, 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, is today celebrating its business growth and expansion with an office move to the Scottish Provident Building.

Considered the best location in Belfast city centre, the Donegall Square-located Scottish Provident Building is immediately adjacent to Belfast City Hall and mere steps away from all the best city centre establishments, restaurants, shops and transport links. Repstor will join other resident technology companies including aPriori, Blackduck Software, Unosquare and BDNA.

Repstor, which is approaching its financial year-end, has seen a doubling of revenues over the same period last year for the second year running. The surge reflects increasing demand from global and national brands, which are exploiting Repstor’s ECM adoption technologies to better exploit their investments in ECM platforms like Box, M-Files, OpenText, HP and particularly Office 365 and SharePoint. Further bolstering Repstor’s success are its case and matter management products which are being deployed by several Law firms and legal departments, most notably Eversheds Sutherland, gunnercooke, ForFarmers, Pentland Brands, Value Retail and Boels Zanders Advocaten.

Partnerships too have gone from strength to strength this year. In March the company announced a new partnership with international law firm, Eversheds Sutherland and together launched ES /Unity™ a new matter management solution powered by Repstor at the British Legal Technology Forum in London in March. Built exclusively for the Microsoft SharePoint/O365 platform and offering native integration into Microsoft Outlook, the software has been designed from the outset to be Cloud ready but also have the flexibility to be deployed on client’s own networks if required. Eversheds Sutherland Consulting will focus on project management and working with clients to maximise the business benefits of using legal matter management technology, with Repstor providing the technical software expertise.

Since its launch in March, ES /Unity has attracted global and national attention and its first customers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Among Repstor’s latest high-profile customer wins is a key UK Public sector organisation, a large scale Real Estate organisation, regulatory organisations in the US and EU, a specialist European Insurer and another of the Big 4 consultancies. Eversheds Sutherland, a top 40 Global law firm, deployed Repstor’s custodian for legal™ as its firm-wide matter management solution and German automotive supplier, Brose is also amongst Repstor’s latest new customer acquisitions.

CEO of Repstor Alan McMillen added:

‘We are delighted to have had another very positive year of growth. We have added new products to our suite, launched ES /Unity with Eversheds Sutherland, unveiled a new mobile content management platform and we’re expanding our partner programme. This move to the Scottish Provident building gives us the flexibility and growth to support our future plans and we look forward to welcoming our customers, partners and prospects to visit over the coming months.”

In addition to new customer acquisitions, Repstor has seen deepening technology adoption across existing customers. “Once they’ve seen the impact of our ECM adoption and case/matter management technologies, it’s very common for our clients to want to build on that success through additional ECM innovation,” Alan says. “Often an organisation will start off by incorporating our Outlook integration/Repstor affinity™ into their Office 365 or SharePoint platforms and, when they see the uplift in user interaction and adoption, they’re keen to push things to the next level, increase licences and add on complimentary technologies.”

Repstor Unveils New Mobile Content Management Suite

On-the-go filing will improve productivity, collaboration and compliance as nomadic information workers process email and documents outside the office

AIIM Forum 2017- June 21st, 2017 –Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, today launched a new mobile content management suite providing improved continuity for information workers on the go.

By making it easier and more intuitive for nomadic employees to correctly file email and documents when out of the office, the new addition to Repstor’s content management suite will boost productivity, collaboration and compliance.

Based on Repstor’s content categorisation technology, assist™, the new mobile application gives information workers intelligent, accurate and intuitive email and document filing and categorisation on the go, from any device.
“If mobile knowledge work is to be more collaborative than just sending and receiving emails, we need to make it easier for users to file more efficiently on the go,” commented Repstor’s CTO, Fergus Wilson.

With improving high-speed mobile coverage, employees can now use their devices for much more than simply checking email when out of the office. “But this can play havoc with information management,” Fergus said. “Unless mobile activity is an extension of people’s desktop systems, or they engage in follow-up admin at some later time, there is a risk that emails and attachments will not be filed correctly – and it’s too easy to forget when back in the office.”

Crucially, users don’t have to open a second application or take special actions to file their emails or attachments from their mobiles: they can do this directly from within their usual mobile mail application.

“This offers a good safeguard against inconsistent filing,” Fergus explained. “Users can now do this correctly first time, wherever they are – without any fuss, and without interrupting what they’re doing.”

Repstor’s assisted filing capability can be used with a wide variety of popular content management and file sharing applications – such as SharePoint, HP CM, Box and even file shares.

The company has also introduced a mobile app for its custodian™ case management solution, designed specifically for legal professionals using Office 365 and SharePoint. This offers intuitive mobile access and browsing and filing of cases and legal matters on the go.

Repstor and Eversheds Sutherland Coverage in Credit Control Journal

Eversheds Sutherlands head of consulting, Graham Richardson has written a very informative piece for key industry publication Credit Control Journal in which he discusses how in-house legal teams are caught in an ever growing digital divide.

Graham says that in-house legal teams are increasingly being seen as key strategic advisers to business, but they are unable to optimise productivity and efficiency due to a lack of technological tools, which is leaving them straddling an ever widening digital divide, according to the Looking Glass report.

This digital divide, he explains is hobbling in-house legal teams. This has prompted international law firm Eversheds Sutherland to make use of its own digital transformation (DX) journey to assist legal professionals.

ES / Unity is built by lawyers for lawyers and provides a slick matter management solution that is cost effective and, crucially, easy to implement.”

To provide the new offering, Eversheds Sutherland Consulting will enter into a joint venture with UK-based software provider Repstor. The solution will be delivered collaboratively by Eversheds Sutherland Consulting and Repstor. Built exclusively for the Microsoft SharePoint/M365 platform and offering native integration into Microsoft Outlook, the software has been designed from the outset to be Cloud ready but also have the flexibility to be deployed on client’s own networks if required. Global top 40 law firm deploys Repstor custodian for legal™ to deliver matter management on Microsoft 0ffice 365

Eversheds Sutherland is one of the world’s leading international law firms. It brings together 2,300 legal professionals to provide legal services coordinated from 61 offices in 29 countries.
The firm’s international prestige relies on the ability to assemble the best legal professionals and subject experts for the matter in hand, wherever they may be located. For each fee-earner to work efficiently, he or she must be able to access and share case documentation readily across locations.

This is especially true for Eversheds Sutherlands’ UK-based Ignite team which brings together experts dynamically for fast-turnover legal work. This is an important and growing area of the business. Due to the short turnaround times, service levels (SLAs) for this type of work are closely measured.
“We need the best people in our network to be able to be fully productive and empowered with everything they need wherever they are,” explains Graham Richardson, a partner at the firm. This has presented some practical challenges however. “Traditional document management is very location-specific, relying on servers based in particular offices,” he notes.
Exploiting Office 365 for matter management.

At the British Legal Technology Forum in May 2016, Eversheds Sutherland’s UK IT team met Microsoft Gold partner Repstor. The company specialises in matter and email management solutions that work natively within Microsoft Office, Office 365 and SharePoint.

“They certainly got my attention,” says Dale Bradbury, Eversheds Sutherlands’ head of applications in the UK. “I had worked successfully with SharePoint in previous organisations and seen it develop as a platform over the years, but for matter management it was missing some key usability and interface features that were holding it back. Repstor had identified and filled those gaps! This is particularly true when taken in context with the broader Office 365 platform.”
