Repstor Storms into Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 11th Place

• Rapid growth catapults the company straight into the top 15, in its first ever listing
• Repstor revs up its recruitment drive in response to soaring demand for its Office 365 for matter management approach

Belfast, November 10th , 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has shot straight into the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 11th place in its first ever ranking, the company has reported.

The Deloitte Fast 50 awards, now in their 18th year, showcase the cream of the Irish technology industry, ranking the fastest-growing indigenous companies based on their performance over the last four years. Belfast-based Repstor has has just relocated to the iconic Scottish Provident Building following a second consecutive doubling of revenues year on year, a growth trajectory that secured the company a high listing in this year’s awards.

Repstor’s ECM adoption technologies have attracted worldwide interest because of their power to increase the payback on companies’ existing investments in Office 365 and SharePoint, as well as content management tools such as Box, M-Files and OpenText. Its case and matter management products, meanwhile, have experienced enthusiastic take-up among private law firms and corporate legal departments.

By offering organisations a way to better organise and manage their content using software they already use every day, Repstor has struck a chord with user communities, IT teams and budget controllers. In recent months Repstor has made significant headway in markets as far afield as the US, Canada and the UAE, a feat that did not escape this year’s awards panel.

The Deloitte Fast 50 awards

Announcing the winners of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme, Peter Allen, a partner at Deloitte (NI) Ltd, commented: “What really strikes me this year is the focus the winning companies have on global markets – we estimate just under 90% of our winning companies’ revenues are generated by exports… Last year we highlighted that export markets would become increasingly important for the indigenous sector given the Brexit challenge, and it’s clear the Fast 50 companies are tackling this challenge head on.”

He added: “These awards offer a glimpse into the future of the technology market for venture capitalists and multinational companies, and also provide an excellent opportunity for businesses to highlight their achievements, their future ambitions and aspirations in the global marketplace. Congratulations to all our winners.”

Repstor recently stepped up its recruitment activity, aiming to boost its sales, pre-sales and delivery teams, as demand for its products continues to snowball.

Commenting on Repstor’s high ranking in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, Alan McMillen, Repstor’s CEO, said: “We’re astounded and delighted to have entered the Fast 50 in such a high position. Certainly, 2017 has been a phenomenal year for Repstor, and we’re confident that we can sustain this speed of growth for the foreseeable future because we’re delivering a range of solutions that companies are crying out for.”

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards were announced in Dublin on 3 November 2017. Details of the final rankings are available to download at www.fast50.ie.

Repstor Joins Ireland’s Technology Elite on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50

The company’s continued momentum has prompted a new recruitment drive, as its Office 365 for matter management approach attracts high demand

Belfast, October 30th, 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has made the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for the first time, the company has reported.

Now in their 18th year, the Deloitte Fast 50 awards, rank Ireland’s fastest growing technology companies and recognises indigenous technology companies that have demonstrated exceptional growth in turnover in the last four years. This summer, Repstor announced it was moving its growing operations to the Scottish Provident Building in Belfast city centre following a second consecutive doubling of revenues year on year.

By offering organisations a way to better organise and manage their content using software they already use every day, Repstor has struck a chord with user communities, IT teams and budget controllers. Over the last year, growing numbers of global and national brands have exploited Repstor’s ECM adoption technologies to maximise their investments in Office 365 and SharePoint as well as content management tools such as Box, M-Files and OpenText. Its case and matter management products, meanwhile, have experienced enthusiastic take-up among private law firms and corporate legal departments.

The announcement of Repstor’s entry into the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 rankings follows hot on the heels of news that the company is a finalist in two categories in the British Legal Technology Awards 2017, along with strategic partner Eversheds Sutherland. The partners have been shortlisted for ES/Unity™, the MS Office 365-based legal matter life-cycle management solution they co-launched in March. The collaboration has also been shortlisted for the DM awards.

In response to soaring market demand for its products, Repstor has now launched a new recruitment drive designed to boost its sales, pre-sales and delivery teams.

Commenting on the news, Alan McMillen, CEO at Repstor, said: “We’re thrilled to have come to the notice of another highly reputable awards programme, in the form of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 – particularly as it acknowledges the rapid growth we are experiencing. 2017 has been an incredible year for Repstor, and the momentum around our products feels unstoppable. That’s why we’re now actively going out to market to look for additional talent to bolster our sales effort, in a major recruitment initiative.

“Repstor’s appeal is very clear cut,” he added. “It comes from our ability to target everyday pain points for businesses around how they store and manage content – crucially, without them having to undergo huge and expensive upheaval, as they would if they went out and bought separate, specialist ECM systems. Our products let people keep working the way they always have, while making it easier to manage, share, find and track content – with substantial efficiency, productivity, transparency and compliance benefits.”

Repstor’s exact ranking within the Fast 50 will be revealed at this year’s Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards on November 3rd in Dublin.

Repstor affinity reduces Outlook PST storage & enhances SharePoint collaboration at global automotive supplier Brose

Brose is a large global automotive supplier. Its mechatronic systems for doors, seats
or electric motors and drives can be found in every second new vehicle around the
world today. The company, which is over a century old and is still family owned today,
employs more than 25,000 people across 60 locations in 23 countries.

Brose depends on IT to enable dispersed global teams to collaborate on customer projects.
It means it can field the right knowledge experts without any concerns about location.
The company has 15,000 Microsoft Office users internationally, Exchange mailbox servers sited
in Europe, Asia and North America, and a central SharePoint farm located in Germany.

Despite having central file shares and SharePoint collaboration portals, Brose’s project teams were
defaulting to email to hold and retrieve project-related information and documents, in the form of Outlook
personal folders (PST data files). A lot of time could be spent locating the latest version of content, and the
over-reliance on PST files located on the local network was consuming a lot of expensive storage. Also, if
users were unavailable or left the company, there was no easy way to get at the information held in their
email folders.

ES/Unity™ from Repstor & Eversheds Sutherland shortlisted for 2 British Legal Technology Awards

The result of a unique collaboration between a software vendor and global legal practice, the Office 365-based legal matter management system is a finalist in both the New IT Product of the Year & Technology Venture of the Year categories

Belfast, October 17th , 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has been named a finalist twice over in the British Legal Technology Awards 2017, with strategic partner Eversheds Sutherland, for their jointly developed legal matter lifecycle management solution, ES/Unity™.

Strong contenders in both the New IT Product of the Year, and Technology Venture of the Year, categories, ES /Unity’s double shortlisting was announced at the London Law Expo on October 10. The winners will be announced at a lavish awards ceremony at Plaisterers’ Hall in the City of London on November 15th.

Judged by an independent panel of experts, the British Legal Technology Awards acknowledge and reward excellence in Legal Technology and IT Security within the UK and European Legal Sectors. Hosted by Netlaw Media, the 2017 Awards aim to recognise leadership, innovation in technology and the individuals, teams and suppliers transforming the future of legal services.
Launched at the annual British Legal Technology Forum in March this year, ES/Unity combines Eversheds Sutherland’s years of legal experience with Repstor’s success in creating high-impact matter/case and email/document management solutions that work natively within Microsoft Office, Office 365 and SharePoint.

Eversheds Sutherland was already using Repstor technology internally to transform its own matter management. The idea for ES/Unity was born out of the Eversheds Sutherland’s own experience added to what it knew corporate legal teams needed (the firm has its own UK-based team, Ignite, which provides fast-turnover legal work for corporate clients).

One of ES/Unity’s significant differentiators is that the software was developed in close collaboration with Eversheds Sutherland’s own legal teams, so it reflects the way legal people naturally work. Eversheds Sutherland’s consulting team, which is responsible for taking ES/Unity to market, can show legal teams how to use it to improve process efficiency and content organisation, without users having to alter their normal work patterns.

Responding to the news of ES/Unity’s double shortlisting in the British Legal Technology Awards, Sheila Gormley, Repstor’s Director of Business Development, said,

Our colleagues at Eversheds Sutherland are as thrilled as we are to have been recognised in this way and named as finalists in these prestigious awards. We knew that we had created something special in ES/Unity, and the early market response – not just in the UK, but globally – has exceeded our wildest expectations.

Transform Data to expand distribution of Repstor ECM product suite to DACH region after its own success in Benelux & the Nordics

Strong demand for exploiting existing Office 365/SharePoint investments for effective case management bodes well for new channel partnerships across the German-speaking markets

Belfast, October 2nd , 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has announced plans to expand sales of its content and case management solutions to the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (the so-called DACH region).
Repstor’s strategic partner for mainland Europe, Transform Data, will be responsible for establishing new channel partnerships in the region. The move follows strong sales across Benelux and the Nordics, particularly in the legal sector, fulfilled by the Dutch company.

European clients including Strukton, Boels Zanders, ForFarmers, Morris Law and Haldor Topsoe have been snapping up Repstor’s solutions, which in the legal sector harness organisations’ existing investments in everyday Microsoft office platforms, to deliver powerful case and matter lifecycle management.

Transform Data, which specialises in legal enterprise content management (ECM) solutions and distributes and builds Repstor’s legal solutions such as custodian, in target European markets, has been successfully implementing Repstor’s product suite in Benelux and the Nordics for the last three years, achieving significant success with law firms and in-house corporate legal teams.
In common with Repstor, its mission is to help customers improve productivity and deliver transformation using existing systems they have bought.

Commenting on the European expansion plan, Alan McMillen, Repstor’s CEO, said, “Broadening into the German-speaking DACH countries is a logical and exciting move given the impact Transform Data has had with our legal solutions in the Benelux and Nordic regions. The pressures and demands around ECM are the same wherever you go in the world, so the wider opportunity is substantial, and Transform Data is the perfect distribution partner to help us capitalise on these additional markets.

“What’s great about our partnership with Transform Data is that the company was founded on the same ethos as ours – to encourage customers to build on the software investments they’ve already made, instead of starting again for every new thing they want to do. With added controls and usability, Office 365 and SharePoint are the obvious foundation for content management, and our products are proven in this context. Transform Data understands and has first-hand experience of this, so who better to build new channels for us?”

René Beulen, responsible for partner management at Transform Data added, “We’re delighted to have this chance to take Repstor’s products to the DACH region and appoint new partners there. We feel privileged to have been entrusted with this opportunity, and we can’t wait to take this forward. With demand as high as it is for solid, practical and user-friendly ECM case management, we all have much to gain from this strategic expansion.”

Repstor to Exhibit and Speak at Europe’s Largest Law Expo – London Law Expo 2017

The company prepares to launch a new campaign to help Law Firms exploit Office 365 for Matter Management

September 29th, 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Office 365 investments, has today announced that it is participating as an exhibitor and speaker at this year’s London Law Expo 2017.

This year’s event is being held at Old Billingsgate on October 10th and sees the amalgamation of the London Law Expo and the European Legal Security Forum. The event features 6 presentation stages, 70 expert speakers, 80 exhibitors and an estimated 2,000 visitors from the world of legal practice management, technology and IT security.

Repstor and strategic customer and partner, Eversheds Sutherland, join a line-up of world class speakers to present at 2PM on the Technology Hub stage. The talk entitled, ‘Exploiting Office 365 for Matter Management’, will be presented jointly by Eversheds Sutherland’s Graham Richardson and Repstor’s Sheila Gormley.

Repstor will launch its Office365 for Matter Management campaign featuring its new white paper ‘7 Indisputable Reasons to use Office 365 for Matter Management’. London Law Expo delegates are invited get their complimentary copy from stand A24 or download a PDF here.

CTO of Repstor Fergus Wilson added:

“Office 365 is an existing resource most firms have already invested in, and many of its capabilities are inherently superior to those of dedicated matter management systems. This is largely due to the huge investment Microsoft has made in Office 365, added to the vast ecosystem of Microsoft software partners which are enhancing Office 365 all the time with new, specialist features and integration options.”

Fergus continues, “Our latest campaign will help firms to make the case for selecting Office 365 for complete matter lifecycle management – a move that law firms ranging from large international practices like Eversheds Sutherland to challenger firms like gunnercooke have already made.”

New Repstor paper sets out ‘7 indisputable reasons to use Microsoft 365 as a matter management platform’

Reason 1: It’s where the investment is

September 27th , 2017 – Repstor, the ECM adoption company that helps businesses exploit their SharePoint and Microsoft 365 investments, has published a new paper setting out ‘7 Indisputable reasons to use Microsoft 365 as a matter management platform’, challenging legal teams to look at the software they already have (and use every day) before exposing themselves to the expense and upheaval of deploying a dedicated document management system.

As all law firms and in-house corporate legal teams come under pressure to improve efficiency, measure productivity and collaborate more effectively, interest in systematic content management is rising sharply. But as the new Repstor paper makes clear, there is no need to invest in a dedicated, separate system for this when the vast majority of legal professionals already have established office systems they use routinely for sharing matter-related content.

Although, left unchecked, the popular practice of using email to distribute documents can be inefficient – and consume a lot of computer storage – this can be addressed easily using integrated Microsoft partner solutions which introduce new order and transparency to the way matter content is managed.

Reason 1 to default to Microsoft 365 (M365) for matter management, according to the paper, is the sheer momentum around the platform. M365 user numbers are expected to exceed 100 million by the end of 2017, propelled by heavy investment in the platform by Microsoft as well as its cloud partner ecosystem – estimated to be 10 times larger than Google’s. So it’s a robust platform for legal teams to align their routine processes with.

Other arguments include M365’s impressive feature set, made even richer by partner solutions such as Repstor custodian or ES/Unity which among other things add structure and workflow to email content filing. Then there’s the advanced management reporting, and the inherent security controls. And so on.

But probably the most obvious reason legal teams should centre their matter management on M365 is that it they have already invested in Microsoft technology – and, crucially, users are comfortable with it. As the paper makes clear, “By choosing to buy a distinct content management system for legal matters, firms are incurring unnecessary cost and complexity.”
