Crown Commerical ServicesRepstor, the leading ECM adoption specialist, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a place on the GCloud6 agreement for the supply of Software as a Service (SaaS) by Crown Commercial Service (CCS).

The GCloud6 agreement supports the Government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function at the heart of government. The agreement can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for-profit organisations.

Repstor is delighted that it has been successfully awarded a place on the latest Crown Commercial Service G-Cloud programme. This means that all GCloud customers will have access to Repstor Software as a Service and Cloud Service offerings via the Digital Marketplace. These offerings include the Repstor affinity, assist and custodian products.

Repstor affinityTM provides uninterrupted access to content repositories within the familiar interface of Microsoft® Outlook®. affinity encourages user adoption of content systems by providing a natural, familiar and intuitive way of working. Repositories like Microsoft SharePoint® and File Shares can be accessed seamlessly from within Outlook. Repstor assistTM provides additional filing capability that keeps the filed content fully available while on or offline. It provides assisted filing to users by taking best practice filing and using this to suggest the most suitable location for new content. Repstor custodianTM turns Microsoft SharePoint into an effective case document management system to help organizations gain rapid ROI from SharePoint and Office 365® investments.

By providing intuitive access to Office 365 and other content systems from Microsoft Outlook, Repstor helps organisations manage their content easily and to successfully deploy ECM systems by providing the tools needed to ensure their users adopt these systems. This results in reduced change management requirements, increased productivity and compliance with policy aimed at meeting regulatory requirements.

The G-Cloud Programme is a cross government initiative targeted at easing procurement by public-sector bodies in departments of the United Kingdom Government of commodity information technology services that use cloud computing. G-Cloud covers the processes of buying, managing and using cloud services. The goal of G-Cloud is to move government ICT service provision from a costly dedicated development that is often duplicated many times over, to taking the best fit the market has to offer that balances functionality, service levels and cost. Essentially G-Cloud provides Public Sector Bodies with a range of the best industry IT services and solutions available off-the-shelf for use when they need them.

The Crown Commercial Service has put in place a Pan Government G-Cloud Framework Agreement (RM1557).  It is available for use by all UK Public Sector bodies, which include Central Government Departments and their Arms Length Bodies and Agencies, Non Departmental Public Bodies, NHS Bodies & Local Authorities as a procurement vehicle by which to access Cloud Computing Services.

About the Crown Commercial Service

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has brought together Government’s central commercial capability into a single organisation, amalgamating Government Procurement Service with other commercial teams from the Cabinet Office and central government departments.

CCS is an executive agency of the Cabinet Office and operates as a trading fund under the Government Trading Funds Act 1973. Their remit is to work with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery.

The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.

With both service delivery and advisory capability, services include contract management and supplier performance management to ensure that the Government acts as a true, single customer; freeing up individual organisations to focus their procurement expertise on what is unique to them.
